Horseback Riding - Day Trips

Bear Basin Packtrips offers both day rides and half-day rides on Bear Basin Ranch and in the nearby Sangre de Cristo Wilderness area.

While other day-ride ranches offer little more than walking in a single file line, Bear Basin Packtrips encourages you to choose your own path and often has the group walk as a pack rather than in a line. They will also pick up the pace upon request, taking willing groups at a full gallop if requested.

At the same time, no experience is required, and all rides begin with hands-on instruction on saddling and care of your mount.
